Nas & Wu-Tang Clan
The Wu-Tang Clan is an American hip hop group from Staten Island, New York City, originally composed of East Coast rappers RZA, GZA, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God and Masta Killa. Nas is an American rapper, songwriter, and entrepreneur. He is the founder of Mass Appeal Records. The two will be performing together at the Toyota Amphitheatre on Sunday, October 2, 2022.
The Wu-Tang Clan rose to prominence with their 1993 debut album, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). The album’s success increased the popularity of East Coast hip hop, and led to the formation of numerous Wu-Tang Clan-affiliated record labels, groups and collectives. Nas’ debut album, Illmatic, was released in 1994. The album is widely regarded as a classic and helped shape contemporary hip hop.
Wu-Tang Clan and Nas have both had hugely successful careers in hip hop. They are considered pioneers in the genre and have influenced countless other artists. Their performance at the Toyota Amphitheatre is sure to be a memorable one.
